A empreitada, a primeira de outras que vão avançar, insere-se na rubrica do orçamento municipal “Reabilitação de pontes de traves em granito, no rio Leça com valor histórico-cultural”.
A conclusão da reabilitação da ponte, levada a cabo pela Câmara da Maia, está prevista para outubro.
